The members of the Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Company would like to wish all students, teachers, administrators, staff, and families a safe, successful, and exciting school year! πβ€οΈ
As everyone gets back into the school-year routine, please keep a few important safety reminders in mind:
π Watch for School Buses Slow down and be prepared to stop when you see a school bus. Never pass a school bus with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended.
πΈ Watch for Students Children may be walking, biking, or waiting near the roadway. Stay alert, especially around bus stops, intersections, neighborhoods, and school zones.
π Slow Down Give yourself extra time tomorrow morning. Expect increased traffic and congestion, and obey all posted school-zone speed limits.
π΅ Put the Phone Down Keep your attention on the road. A text, notification, or phone call can wait.
π Parents & Students Look both ways before crossing, use sidewalks and designated crosswalks whenever possible, and make sure younger children know their bus stop and emergency contact information.
π Remember: Tomorrow morning will look a little different on our roads. Be patient, stay alert, and help make sure everyone gets to schoolβand back homeβsafely.
